Let me introduce myself!
I'm Jayme. I have a bachelor's in interior design and currently work as a kitchen & bath designer. There's so much to see and learn about in the world of design. It can be overwhelming for me, so I imagine it's overwhelming for you, too. This blog is my way of guiding you through the design industry in a practical way that you can actually apply at home. There will be no 24-hour renovations, crazy do-it-yourself projects or featured rooms that are totally unattainable to the typical homeowner (read: no indoor pools or $10,000 chaise lounges).

Here's what you can expect as Roost grows:
-Real articles (by yours truly) giving you quick tips or secrets that designers use to create great spaces
-Guides to what you need to know when buying anything from flooring to appliances
-Inspiration boards with real shopping guides
-Shopping guides with products you can actually buy in stores or online...no more 'call for pricing' or 'to the trade only'. If something to the trade is featured, it's only because it was SO cool that I just HAD to share
-Critical looks at what makes successful rooms work
-Fun products from around the industry that just need to be shared
